Overview:
Monkeys by the trail, stunning views of glaciers and mountains,
amazing photogenic sunsets, sacred lakes, Buddhist monasteries,
and the possibility of climbing - Langtang is a culturally
rich and beautifully diverse national park.
Introduction:
The Lang tang valley is aptly called ‘the valley of
glaciers.’ Here, mountains rise soaring towards the
sky. The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams,
rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows
strewn with daisies and wild primula. In the upper part
of the valley there are snow ridges spanning angry torrents,
high passes enveloped in mist, tiny lakes of crystalline
brightness and glaciated mountain giants.
Although the Langtang region was created as Nepal's first
National Park it is rarely visited compared to the trekking
areas of Annapurna and Everest. Only a day's drive from
Kathmandu this idyllic valley offers great easy to moderate
treks through to tough exploratory routes and climbs - in
short Langtang has it all!
Note: This trek can include trekking peaks combined with
the Ganja La / Helambu treks.
