Introduction:
While we enter the interesting place Limi Valley it
seems like the stepping back in time. And due to the isolated
location the villages are very untouched and pure. Century old
Buddhist traditions, interwoven with shamanistic influences,
are still important part of daily life.
From the border town of Hilsa you turn northeast towards Limi
Valley
The trekking route follows the ancient salt trading and pilgrimage
route to border of Nepal and china, crossing the Nara ka passes.
The Limi Valley is remote location, Humla is still
an off the beaten trek destination especially in spring
and summer you see small number of tourists.
And you have to cross the two high passes,
1. Nara la 4620m
2. Nyalu la 4940m
From this passes we can see the unforgettable landscapes,
and contact with the friendly villagers of the Limi Valley
make it all worth it.
This trek is only 17 days and we can make it shorter
and longer depending on the length of you walks on day of
your trip
