4 Pokhara - Birethanti – Ulleri 4 hour trek 2070 Easy
Our trek begins with a walk through the lush, green Modi river valley, passing waterfalls with plunge pools that invite you to swim. We then ascend a steep stone staircase to the Magar village of Ulleri. Our rewards for the day are the breathtaking views of the valley below and the peaks of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.
5 Ulleri - Ghorepani 5 hours 2850 Easy

A gentle climb through pasture and cultivated fields that surround picturesque villages. As the trail climbs higher, you walk up beside a cascading river the idles through refreshingly cool oak and rhododendron forest. Always there are glympses of the mountains which can be truly appreciated at our overnight stop at Ghorepani.

6 Ghorepani - Tadapani 6 hours 2660 Easy

Fabulous panoramic views will delight us today, stretching away to the distant plains of India and up to the massive bulk of the Annapurnas. We wake up in the early morning to climb Poon Hill from where we will see the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Mustang Ranges. Then we set off after breakfast towards Tadapani, through rhododendron forest, and along a ridge trail with mountain views of the Annapurna all the way. The trail then snakes through dense moss-covered forest rich with bird life to Tadapani and beautiful sunset views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare. A day in the Himalaya doesn't get much better than this!
7 Tadapani – Chhomrung 5 hours 2030 Easy
The morning begins with a descent through lush maple and fern forest into the narrowing Humla Karnali valley to a bridge over the Chhungsa Khola (or Sale Khola). The trail now climbs to Yangar through a lovely forest of Himalayan blue pine and spruce to our camp near the Namka Khyungdzong Gompa (monastery) which is linked to the ancient Shepeling Gompa near Taklakot.
8 Chhumrung - Himalaya Hotel 7 shours 2920 Easy
We walk through the forest to Kuldi Ghar, before the route goes steeply down a bank of rock and then levels out, running through riverside bamboo thickets along the base of the gorge. Then the track winds steeply up through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of Doban and then on to the peculiarly named village of Himalaya Hotel.
9 Himalaya Hotel – Machhapuchhare Base Camp (MBC) 4 hours 372 Moderate

Our trail remains on the west bank of the Modi Khola, now flowing through an open alpine valley, and we eventually emerge into the Sanctuary. Straight in front of us is the high lateral moraine of the South Annapurna glacier - this is the site of Machhapuchhre Base Camp and a spectacular panorama of mountains.

10 MBC - Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) 3 hours 4234 Moderate

The trail begins on abroad grassy path before the moraine of the Annapurna glacier, and it doesn't take long to reach the British Expedition Annapurna South Face Base Camp (4234m.) This is terrific mountain scenery, soak it up, and take your time to imprint the majesty of the Sanctuary into your memory. Explore around, some say the best views are from the crest of the moraine beneath Himal Chuli.
11 ABC - Bamboo 7 hours 2300 Easy

We now retrace our steps, taking time to appreciate the views that so amazed us on the way up. Our destination is the village of Bamboo and the nearby waterfall and Hindu shrine.

12 Bamboo – Jhinuwa (Hot spring) 6 hours 1400 Easy

You won't want to see many more steps after today as we head back through Chhumrung and then down to Jhinuwa. But here we can relax and enjoy the small hot springs, and watch the monkeys gamble in the trees and finches flit across the river before settling for the night.

13 Jhinuwa- Pothana 7 hours 1900 Easy

After an easy descent to the Gurung village of Landrung, the trail crosses a pass before arriving at the tiny village of Dhampus, perched high on a ridge.
14 Pothana - Pokhara 2 hours 960 Easy

It’s a short trek down to Phedi via Dhampus village with good views of the Annapurnas, where we meet the road and drive back to Pokhara with private transport.

15 Pokhara – Kathmandu Drive 6 hours 1300 Easy
16 Final Day end of trek debrief and departure.
